Glasses on the run Newsletter #37

Hi,

I hope you are all well and will enjoy the short collection of articles in this unusual Tuesday edition.

What was interesting in the business of running

Brooks revenues grew 5% for the 2023 fiscal year. Its focus on performance running shoes (as opposed to lifestyle ones) has been consistently paying off as evidenced by its number one position in the US adult performance running footwear market with 21.4% market share.

Nike has launched a law suit against New Balance and Sketchers over patent infringement of Nike's Flyknit technology, for which it previously sued other competitors, including Adidas.

A really cool rundown of the shoes the top 10 men and women runners wore at the New York Marathon.

In a somewhat unsurprising move, Fitbit pulled its products from a number of markets.

Strava launched a flyover feature that takes you over your running route. Currently available on Android only with iOS to follow soon.

As we are getting close to the end of the year, here is a list of the best selling Adidas shoes in each of the 50 states in the US.

And finally, here is a Garmin vs Coros sports smartwatch comparison.

As always, thank you for reading,

Momchil
